In this episode we discuss the difference between Grateful and Thankful. And, yes, there is a difference. Gratitude is a deep seeded, emotional swell. Thankful is more transactional. You are Grateful for the opportunities in your life. You are thankful for someone bringing you a coffee. We’ll also introduce you to the term “toxic gratitude”. We’ll walk you through examples of toxic gratitude so that you can start to recognize those in your own life. Be intentional with gratitude. Do you have a gratitude practice? We give some tips on starting a gratitude practice whether it’s journaling, praying or simply setting aside time to repeat the things you are grateful for. We’ve got some science for you. Having a gratitude practice can help relieve stress, improve sleep, aid in digestion and help boost your self esteem. By focusing on your tail winds (benefits) it can help with your attitude and approach to life.
