Listen "Ep.140 Write to Write"
Episode Synopsis
"Good thinkers always prime the pump of ideas. They always look for things to get the thinking process started, because what you put in always impacts what comes out."
--John C. Maxwell (American author, coach, and speaker)
And, what does it mean, exactly to "prime the pump"? According to Google, this phrase means "to encourage the growth or action of something. In the late 1800s, this expression was originally used for pouring liquid into a pump to get rid of the air and make it work. Then, in the 1930s it was applied to government efforts to stimulate the economy."
Well, today Judy and I help you prime the pump of your writing. We want to get our words out and down on paper. We want to get our ideas out into the world. But to do this most efficiently, sometimes we have to kind of trick our brains into writing. We want to get that creative water of our thoughts flowing...and that's what we'll get into today...
