We mix things up this week and meet up with Jesus in the introduction to Luke. We tether this strongly to the Old Testament, especially our Deuteronomy readings from this week. We consider the law and what it means, especially in light of Jesus, how to avoid idolatry (even from places we don't often consider), and look at violence in the Old Testament and how we can understand what God is doing in places that trouble us today.
