Love is a choice.
It’s a decision we make
every single day
to choose
to see the one we love
through God’s eyes.
The way God sees them.
With eyes of mercy and grace.
With eyes of unconditional love.
With eyes of encouragement and believing in them wholeheartedly.
With eyes of adoration, cherishing, love, joy, and deepest affection.
With eyes of gratitude.
With eyes of happiness.
With eyes of delight.
With eyes of faith, hope, and love.
With eyes that always
see the best in them,
expect them best from them,
and overlook their weaknesses
and shortcomings
with beauty and forgiveness.
With tender eyes of softness,
gentleness, and acceptance.
With eyes of joy and bliss -
as seeing them lights you up like the sunshine.
With eyes that make them feel seen, known, loved, worthy, enough, deserving, and important,
and so special that we do as God would and leave the 99 just to
hunt them down, chase after them & their heart,
look diligently and passionately for them and seek to fight for them
to be found
when they are lost.
With eyes that sing
their soul song
back to them
when their heart has grown weary
and forgotten it.
With eyes of understanding,
patience,
trust.
With eyes that reflect their beauty,
grace,
worthiness,
deservingness,
and light.
