Host Julie Bennett Hume with co-hosts Gina Myer and Jane Kloeckner sit down with two candidates for the Board of WaterOne in Johnson County, Kan., Jennifer Gumby and Jill Westra, to discuss the value of clean, reliable and affordable access to water utilities.
Jennifer Gumby discusses her work with nonprofits over the past 10 years to craft, pass and implement state and local environmental policies. Incumbent Jill Westra discusses her career as an environmental scientist and how experiences living in places with low access to water, such as Botswana, give her a powerful perspective.
She Talk Wha? focuses on local, state, national and global issues facing women in today’s political and cultural climate. We’ll discuss books, ideas, current legislation and executive actions, local and national activism and the different challenges women are dealing with in today’s society.
