A – About: Jeremiah, falsely accused of defecting to Babylon, is beaten and imprisoned. When King Zedekiah questions him, Jeremiah boldly declares God's unchanging message: Babylon will prevail. Despite injustice, Jeremiah appeals for mercy and is providentially sustained in prison. B – Best Verse: Jeremiah 37:20 (NKJV) – "Therefore please hear now, O my lord the king, please let my petition be accepted before you, and do not make me return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there." C – Calling: We are called to submit humbly to God's will, even when it brings hardship. Faithfulness demands courage to speak truth, patience under injustice, and confidence that God's providence sustains His servants through trials.
