4. The method of washing the deceased.
e. Then their head and beard are washed.
f. Then they are completely washed starting with the right side.
g. If any discharge from the rear passage cannot be stopped it is blocked.
h. Then they are dried and perfume is applied to them.
i. Incense is also applied to their shroud (kafan).
j. Nothing is to be taken from their body (e.g. shaving, circumcision).
k. If the deceased is a women, her hair is braided into three plaits.
