Lesson 29 - The categories of tawheed - Part 3
Tawheed al-Uloohiyya.
To single out Allah with all forms of worship. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. It is the essence of the shahadah.
Evidence for this category of taheed from Surat al-An'aam, Surat al-Zukhruf and Surat al-Nahl.
The one who utters the shahadah but contradicts it with their actions will not benefit anything from it.
The established daily adkhaar of a Muslim which contain the shahadah are a reminder and a renewal of the tawheed of Allah - they are not something which are merely uttered without meaning or effect.
