Listen "The Shepherd / 1 Peter 5:1-11"
Episode Synopsis
In this finale of the "Different" series in 1 Peter, Pastor Joey looks at the gospel-centered pastor and church as it pertains to the pastor and fellowship. In this conversational style message, we learn of the Biblical role and expectations of the pastor, the character requirements of the pastor, and the Biblical attitude of a pastor. Furthermore, we see the critical need of good pastors who love the flock entrusted to them and love the Word of God. Love and humility should epitomize the relationship between the church leadership and the church laity. All too often, the Enemy himself will leverage bad attitudes and frayed relationships to destroy a church leader and cripple the church. This is Peter's warning. Stand firm in trials, hardship, and persecution, not allowing Satan to influence the Gospel-centered church! And if we remain faithful to the Gospel and the Word of God, he will "restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish" us. Message preached on Sunday, August 7th.
