Listen "#47 When God Makes All Things Right (Isaiah 13-23)"
Episode Synopsis
During today's conversation on Scripture & Story, we are continuing in our series on the book of Isaiah! Today we cover Isaiah 13-23, which is week 4 in your study called A Holy God. In these chapters, Isaiah turns his attention from Israel to the surrounding nations to pronounce judgment on them for their wickedness. We like to proclaim that God is a God of love, which is absolutely, wonderfully true. But He is also a God of justice and wrath, and He cannot turn a blind eye to sin. And if you think about it, we are glad for this. We want God to stop evildoers and make all things right. Only God is perfect in His judgment. Let’s be intentional about understanding all aspects of God’s character, including the side of Him that rightly pours out punishment on all wrong. So grab a cup of coffee, your Bible, and your Isaiah Bible Study, and join me on the pages of God’s Word.
