Listen "Episode 94: False Sense of Performance"
Episode Synopsis
This week we talk about standards, standardizing, and what makes sense to makes sense to standardize and why. Having consistency can help support equity across classes, schools, states, and even the country, but rigid curriculum are not responsive to students. How can we think about having standards (i.e. goals for what all students should know/be able to do), without having solutions that are scripted, decontextualized and disconnected from the local context and community where students live?
