Episode Synopsis

How are young American men doing right now?  It turns out not well, as young men are less likely to graduate high school, more likely to end up in prison, and earn less in their 20s on average compared to their female counterparts.  Given the negative outcomes young men face in the U.S. right now, how do we encourage them to take on the trials with an air of adventure and responsibility?  In this episode, Kim King II shares insights for young men to overcome some of the hurdles they face today.  Kim King II is the assistant director of the Malcom X Institute for Black Studies at Wabash College, where he advises and mentors students from a number of socio-economic and racial backgrounds, calling them to fulfill their duty as a citizen and gentleman.
