Saludos, hermosa comunidad de músicos. Esta semana les traigo uns canción "robada" a la poesía.
Corría la década de los 70 y en Venezuela se disfrutaba de grandes producciones musicales con tres vocalistas de voces magistrales cuyos nombres comenzaban con la letra "M".
Se trataba de Mirla Castellanos, Mirna Ríos y Mayra Martí. Y fue Mirna Ríos la que nos trajo este bellísimo y súper romántico poema «Amémonos», del libro Las Pasionarias del poeta mexicano, Manuel María Flóres.
Antonio Torno, guitarrista argentino, se empeñó en musicalizar esta joya, haciendo una extracción de siete cuartetas de un total de doce contenidas en el poema mencionado. El poeta Manuel María Flóres y el músico Antonio Torno vivieron dos generaciones diferentes y no se conocieron.
Ha sido versionada por grandes artistas como Plácido Domingo, Cuco Sánchez, Embil, Lucho Gatica, , Mirna Ríos y el extraordinario cantante mexicano Marco Antonio Muñiz.

Greetings, beautiful community of musicians. This week I bring you a song "stolen" from poetry.
It was the 70's and Venezuela was enjoying great musical productions with three vocalists with masterful voices whose names began with the letter "M".
They were Mirla Castellanos, Mirna Ríos and Mayra Martí. And it was Mirna Ríos who brought us this beautiful and super romantic poem "Amémonos", from the book Las Pasionarias by the Mexican poet, Manuel María Flóres.
Antonio Torno, Argentine guitarist, insisted on putting this gem to music, extracting seven quatrains from a total of twelve contained in the aforementioned poem. The poet Manuel María Flóres and the musician Antonio Torno lived two different generations and did not know each other.
It has been covered by great artists such as Plácido Domingo, Cuco Sánchez, Embil, Lucho Gatica, Mirna Ríos and the extraordinary Mexican singer Marco Antonio Muñiz.
