Saludos a toda la comunidad de creativos que integran VDC.
En esta semana #5 del Concurso de Música Tradicional les traigo el tema "Maracaibo en la Noche", que fuera compuesto por Jesús Ángel Reyes (El popular "Reyito") (Maracaibo, Venezuela 1911-Maracaibo, 1966), músico, compositor, guitarrista y poeta.
Esta canción me hace recordar a una amiga de mi mamá que cuando andaba "paloteada," la cantaba dizque "más hermoso te ves...más aguardiente" adaptándo así la letra a su realidad vivencial.
Espero les guste está canción que muchos de las nuevas generaciones no conocen.

Greetings to the entire community of creatives that make up VDC.


In this week #5 of the Traditional Music Contest I bring you the song "Maracaibo at Night", which was composed by Jesús Ángel Reyes (The popular "Reyito") (Maracaibo, Venezuela 1911-Maracaibo, 1966), musician, composer, guitarist and poet.


This song reminds me of a friend of my mother who, when she was drunk, sang it saying "more beautiful you look...more brandy" thus adapting the lyrics to her lived reality.


I hope you like this song that many of the new generations don't know.
