Listen "Tending to Grief Through Tending to Plants with Camisha Green"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode of Ruted in Nourishment, I’m talking to Camisha Green ,a friend, past colleague and the owner of Camisha’s Cakes in San Francisco. Since I’ve known her, she’s always been a wonder when it comes to baking, and has been baking for 17 years. She started when she was 13. Camisha is a graduate of San Francisco State University she majored in Hospitality Tourism Management with an emphasis in Small Business Entrepreneurship and is a completely self taught baker. She decided to commit 100% to her calling in 2019 when she opened Camisha’s Cakes in San Francisco. She is also an avid gardener which inspired her cake design on HBOs Baktopia and she won! We discuss: How gardening has evolved into a practice of deep relaxation for her and how it has supported her on her healing journey. The ways she has seen her problem solving skills evolve outside of cake decorating.Tips to guide listeners on how they can start a practice, art or activity as a way of healing or cultivating more joy even if it feels new, awkward and unknown in the beginning. And so much more!
