Episode Synopsis

Lisa and Julie welcome shoe expert, Kelly Scherf, of RnJ Sports, along with Nike Vaporfly enthusiasts and veteran Boston Marathoners, speed demon, Roman Gurule, and Boston Bound author, Elizabeth Clor, to the podcast.
Kelly, often referred to as the shoe whisperer, is the apparel buyer for RnJ Sports and a seasoned marathoner herself.   Kelly has been providing fittings for runners of all levels, from elite to very beginner, for almost 20 years, and shares her expertise on selecting the optimal running shoe.  Kelly also weighs in on the Vaporfly controversy and who could benefit from the shoes.
Roman and Elizabeth, who boast marathon PRs of 2:56 and 3:15, respectively, weigh in on their Vaporfly shoe experiences.  Both provide excellent advice on the criteria runners should use when deciding whether or not to run with the famous carbon plate.
This is an interesting and informative conversation for any runner--after all, shoes are the most essential piece of running equipment.
