Episode 4 of Rooted in Progress chronicles the progress of the historic Jackson House. Located in downtown Tampa, the now dilapidated house, used to serve as a rooming house where African-Americans could stay during the time of segregation. Some of the greats like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles and more all once stayed there. For years, the Jackson House Foundation has been fighting to restore and rebuild the house. Hosts Deanne King and Terrance MIddlebrooks got the latest update on the stalemate happening from the Jackson House Foundation's Chair, Dr. Carolyn Collins.
