The New season has been announced and next year it would follow up with a Season 2 and Season 3 this depends on the popularity it gains from crunchyroll and the profits it brings in. For my opinion i believe it was announced due to Kimetsu No Yaiba’s year popularity and success and so they would like to rival the Anime and bring out a new outstanding performance.
