Isaiah 13:1-14:27
Babylon’s history, as seen through Scripture and historical events, highlights its rise as a powerful empire rooted in pride and defiance against God. From its early days under Hammurabi to its height under Nebuchadnezzar II, Babylon symbolized human achievement and rebellion. Yet, Isaiah’s prophecies and its eventual fall to Cyrus the Great in 539 BC reveal the certainty of God’s judgment. Once the “glory of kingdoms,” Babylon’s ruins now stand as a lasting reminder that no nation or power can defy God’s authority and escape His justice.
