When we are hurt, disappointed, or frustrated, our first reaction might be to run from the difficult situation or person.  We may also be inclined to complain to loved ones about what's bothering us.  
In today's lesson, we see an incredibly important alternative approach to dealing hurt.  Today, we see Hannah running to God with her pain, running to God, even though it meant she was misunderstood by a person who was supposed to REPRESENT God!  Nevertheless, she stayed the course, trusting God and bringing the pain of her infertility to Him in prayer.
And even before her prayer was answered, even before Samuel was conceived and born, Hannah left that time of prayer CHANGED.  Her demeanor was improved, her spirits lifted - because she trusted that God had heard her.  
Join me as we see how we too can run to God with our hurts, and come away changed, even before the answers come!
