There were different types of offerings in the Old Testament and each had a specific purpose depending on the situation. Today, Pastor Dan will talk about what the sin offering was used for and how it contrasts with how we atone for sins today. The sin offering was primarily used for sins that were done unintentionally. If you were to go and sin against God knowingly, there was no atonement for it. You had to live with the consequences and guilt instead of being able to bring it to Jesus.
