If you’re familiar with “The Beatitudes,” you may know that there’s a total of eight “Blessed Ares.” And they’re about as opposite from the “Blessed Ares” that you find in our culture as they could possibly be. Today, Pastor John describes the second Beatitude, showing how it grows out of the first. You’re poor in spirit – you recognize your complete spiritual poverty apart from God. Then, you experience a sense of sorrow – sorrow over who you are. Yet, that will lead to blessedness.Now, let’s join Pastor John in the book of Matthew, chapter 5, as he begins his message, Happiness Through Mourning.
