It seems like everyone is always in a rush. This is especially true when people are trying to lose weight. "I need to white-knuckle it so that I can get this weight off. Once it is off, I can relax."Unfortunately, that's not how it works. First things first, white-knuckling anything is not sustainable. Second, "there" is not better than here and now.Many times, when we are working towards a goal, we picture the honeymoon version of achieving it. It's as if life will suddenly become full of sunshine and rainbows. This is not how life works.Your life - the only true life you have - is happening right now at this moment. When you can slow down and be present in your life NOW, your world opens up. When you can be present for the journey to the destination, you learn so much about yourself.In this episode, I talk about how the process of slowing down and focusing on your journey to health not only creates a sustainable path but it is an avenue to getting to know yourself and your body on a whole new level.Want to know more about my work?
