I want to share a story about one of my favorite rising brands Afro Tech. AfroTech, the largest tech conference for Black innovators and founders. It’s a hub for black people involved in the startup and tech communities.  Brands like Afro tech are needed because it encourages growth, no matter what your background is, without being condescending or feeling like you need an ivy league degree to thrive.   Afro Tech’s first conference was launched in 2016. But before we get into the brand we need to go back to when it all started. Morgan DeBaun one of the founders of Afrotech, always had a passion for business.
