I had a great chat today with Ben from Legendary Meats. We chatted about Veganism, punk rock, ethical meat and KNOWING where your food comes from.
I had NO IDEA he went from being a vegan of the "better than everyone" mindset to an amazing butcher who is passionate about his trade, and really understands the love and care that goes into every animal whether it be from a farm, a ranch or a homestead.
If you are in the Kootenays, Legendary Meats is a butcher shop in South Slocan and they have cut many of our carcasses. Go and check them out! If you want to try something different ask for Ben and he is happy to chat with and guide you.
