Since being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 12, Miranda Ortiz has defied all odds. According to statistics, she shouldn't have made it passed the age of 17. And yet, many years later, she is a loving mother of a healthy 6 year old daughter. In order to live, she must have an oxygen tank on her at all times. And she's currently working hard to get on the transplant list for a new set of lungs (which is not an easy process).
