Listen "26. The Dynamics of Interracial Relationships…"
Episode Synopsis
...or Love Knows No Color, Until It Does. Up until 1967, the marriage between Black and white people was deemed illegal in the United States. To put that in perspective, that was less than 55 years ago. 54 years to be exact. While it is no longer illegal to be in an interracial marriage, it is still socially taboo. Today, I talk with guests who discuss the complexities of navigating an interracial relationship. Our guests include Matthew Hoeg (he/they) from San Diego, California. He is a lecturer at San Diego State University and Des Moines Area Community Community College in Communication Studies as well as a Fair Housing Education and Outreach Coordinator at CSA San Diego County. Our second guest is Jess Puccinelli (she/her), a Creative Strategist (IG: @jesspuccinelli), from Atlanta, Georgia. Follow us on the socials at @resetrethink and @misteremeka.
