Listen "RENEWables #44: Burns & McDonnell - All Things Hydrogen"
Episode Synopsis
Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the world and can be used to store, move, and deliver energy produced from other sources. Hydrogen technology isn’t a new concept but due to high production costs and infrastructure latency issues, we haven’t been able to capture and use the hydrogen for our energy needs until recently. Today, hydrogen fuel can be produced through several methods including natural gas reforming and electrolysis but how we store, transport and drive popularity around this element will ultimately determine whether or not we can meet our goal to hit Net-zero by 2050.
On this episode of RENEWables, we sat down with David Slavin, Senior Project Engineer at Burns & McDonnell, to learn more about hydrogen technologies and the challenges associated with successfully implementing hydrogen into the renewable energy market, long-term and in large-scale.
