Hebrews 9 & 10When life gets difficult, we naturally retreat to familiar patterns that give us a sense of control, but these ultimately fall short of providing lasting hope. Jesus' sacrifice is fundamentally different from any other attempt at finding peace with God because it was complete, final, and trustworthy. Unlike the Old Testament sacrificial system that required endless repetition, Jesus offered His body once and for all, accomplishing what no other sacrifice could. Through His sacrifice, we are made holy through positional sanctification - God no longer sees our sins and failures, but sees His Son's perfect sacrifice covering us completely. After making His sacrifice, Jesus sat down at the right hand of God, signifying that His work was finished and the debt was paid in full.
