Listen "Merry and Bright: Change and Growth with Teens and Traditions"
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textThis episode originally aired December 14,2022 and is one of the most popular episodes from the last year - probably because nothing changes quite as much as holidays do as our kids grow up. So ICYMI - or just need a reminder like me....It is freeing to release your tie to the outcome and accept what will be. Can you commit to letting go when you need to, understanding that letting go is a form of strength too? As our babies turned into children, holiday traditions and toys got more elaborate. Elves moved onto our shelves. Letters were written and mailed to the North Pole. Trees were decorated, cookies were baked, lights were admired, songs were sung and gingerbread houses were built – all of it was done together. Each year, it seems a bit more like they’re doing these things for us instead of us doing it for them. The holidays won’t be the same this year as they were in the past, but we will adapt, and we will make it special – just special in a different way. On today’s episode, we’re speed running into the holidays and talking about a few things to hopefully make your days merry and bright and bring peace on earth – or at least, peace in your homes.Support the showThank you for listening and being part of this community!
