We really give people a reason to drive 45-minutes to Chariot Run to play golf.”David’s story is even more remarkable that the golf course he manages. Twice he had brushes with death. The first occurred in a vehicle accident when he was seven. The second injury occurred during a horrific accident while he was harness racing. “Just by the grace of God I am still here today,” he said. “I owe it to my wife why I’m sitting here today. She said ‘You’ve got to find another way to make a living. I can’t watch you do this anymore.’”He started at Chariot Run as an $8 an hour greenskeeper.
