Listen "Look Up!"
Episode Synopsis
Send us your questions and reflections! On Day 13 of our Advent journey, we encounter the Israelites in the wilderness, frustrated and impatient as they travel toward the Promised Land. Their grumbling leads to danger—poisonous snakes bite the people—but God provides a clear remedy: a bronze serpent lifted on a pole. Healing comes not through their own efforts, but by looking at what God has already provided. This episode explores what it means to wait well by recognizing God’s provision. Waiting is often not about finding the solution ourselves or rushing to fix our circumstances. It is about pausing, lifting our eyes, and responding in faith to the remedy God has already made available.John 3 makes the connection clear: just as Moses lifted the serpent in the wilderness, Jesus is lifted up on the cross for all who believe. In Him, the ultimate remedy for sin, suffering, and death is already provided. Waiting well, then, includes seeing Jesus for who He is and trusting His provision—even when our struggles are real and ongoing. This episode invites reflection and practice: pause today, lift your eyes to Jesus, and trust the life-giving provision He has already made available. Waiting well is not passive—it is recognizing the remedy in front of you and receiving it with faith.
