How important is the gospel to you?
When everything is going ‘your way’, money is plentiful, free time is always available, your body doesn’t hurt, and your whole family loves you, your marriage is ‘perfect’, how important is the gospel?
Is it what motivates you each day? To ensure that the gospel is a part of your life, and shared with those around you? Or because life is good, you put it to the wayside and have no reason to think about it since you have no cause for concern?
What about when everything is NOT going your way, how important is the gospel to you? What about finding yourself in a hospital bed with mere days to live, or finding out one day that you’ve lost a child, or a spouse in an accident, when your entire income is now influenced because of a physical injury that has left you bed ridden for months, or an economy that isn’t doing well so there is now no money in the bank, maybe you are going through a divorce, friends have left you when you need them the most, and you have finally hit rock bottom.
