We are breaking from our Deuteronomy sermon series to prepare for Easter, and we started in John 12:9-11 as we looked at a story of repentance and a story of unrepentance. The crowds that were coming to Jesus show us repentance, and the chief priests who made plans to kill demonstrate unrepentance.

By following Christ, we do not lose--we gain everything. If you think you'll miss out or lose something, then you are not perceiving reality correctly. We must turn from our selfish ways and follow Christ. What are we afraid to relinquish in order to follow Jesus?
