Listen "Live Lives of Readiness in Jesus Return "
Episode Synopsis
This parable makes a contrast and presents the deeds of a good and an evil slave and the respective consequences. The first slave is found faithfully serving his master, when the master returns, he is rewarded (24:45–47), but the second assumes a delay in the master’s return, lives selfishly, and because this is severely punished (24:48–51). The parable is a different look of chapter 24:40–41 and anticipates the next parables in chapter 25. This parable should probably be taken as a warning to those in authority like in church leadership, pastors, and even teachers. Until Jesus comes, those who lead his disciples must use their authority to serve others rather than obsess with increasing power and other selfish benefits.
