Do you stay up late because you don’t want to go to work tomorrow? Do you stay up late because you don’t want to face your same problems in the morning? I’ve done this over and over throughout the years. Not only does tomorrow come screaming out of the wee morning when we sabotage ourselves like this, but problems seem to appear even more difficult to surmount.
The consequences of lack of sleep can be devastating and yet we still don’t prioritize it as we should. Why don’t we want to go to sleep? It’s bizarre especially when I love sleeping. But I didn’t always. In today’s episode, I share some mortifying memories about the lengths I would go to avoid sleep in the grip of my alcoholism.
