Listen "Pickle Jar of Humility: Pop the Lid with a Little Help"
Episode Synopsis
My stubborn grip on self-will kept me trapped in my character defects, and sometimes still does. Freedom began when I admitted that white-knuckling life wasn’t working, and I confided in another human being. That honesty cracked the lid open, letting humility breathe in. Humility felt like humiliation at first. It was hard to admit who I’d become and who I wish I was instead. But only then was I guided by something greater than myself and my own limited view of the horizon.Think of it like wrestling with a pickle jar while trying to ask someone for help opening it. If you are straining in silence, you can’t ask for help. Your focus narrows to the struggle, and nothing budges. It is only when you release your grip that you gain enough energy to ask for help out loud. And then the lid pops open. Letting go of rigid self-will turns resistance into growth, giving us room to become the people we were meant to be.Listen and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts and YouTube.
