Listen "Our History, It's Myths and Teaching Empathy"
Episode Synopsis
If we can't self-observe, then we can't self-correct. When it comes to the history we have all been taught, what is the truth? In the midst of this George Floyd murder aftermath, I couldn't see how doing a podcast specifically on racism would be helpful. But, I could see how talking to my friend Beth Childs about how history and its lessons can either create empathy or not. We talk about listening to more than just one perspective and how truth may never be found in history as well as how we can do better. Oh, and we play a game and talk about the inter-relatedness of how listening to more points of view affects our faith as well.
I borrowed the opening line from my friend and enneagram master teacher Chris Heuertz (I just wanted to give him the credit for his wisdom)
