As you respond to Jesus in faith you can bet that Satan will come after you. It's in those times that your faith either grow the fastest or go the fastest. So you have to be ready to RESIST Satan's temptations which are targeted to make you flee the church or fear your neighbors. Satan knows that when you're plugged into a church there is power in that camaraderie and in your shared desire to look more like Jesus so he wants you out. But he also knows that the church is ineffective if those inside aren't loving their neighbors. So his goal is either to shut you out (of church) or shut you up (in church), he doesn't care which.
