Is legislating no more natural gas a good thing or a bad thing for Californians? The trend is becoming impossible to ignore. More and more communities are making it illegal to build new homes with natural gas. In fact, it sounds like the ultimate goal is to eliminate natural gas all together and ultimately require home owners to replace gas appliances with electric options. This seems like an odd move when California has still not solved its electric grid issues. In fact, in the ultimate irony, California is moving power plants over to natural gas . So while you won't be able to have it in your home, the state is using it to generate your power. Whats more, California has no hope of meeting the demand for electricity until at least 2023.
