Great news, we made it through the big storm, which brought up a conversation about how everyone handles weather events differently.Luckily, no damage, just a little less than a day without power. Our big topic today is how different generations handled real estate. In our experience, we saw Boomers sticking around in their homes for a long time. They planned and bought their forever homes early. Annie represents Gen X and says that they, as a group, bought homes thinking of their first home as a starter home, then moved up to the next home within a decade. Millennials bought their first homes a little later than the generations before them. Annie believes that this is because there were so many opportunities to live life and move around before buying a home. Then there is Gen Z who are buying homes earlier than ever.
