It's our 6 month anniversary here on REal Chat and we are so happy to be here, still talking about real shit, loosely related to the real estate industry! Today we dug into what people don't know about contracts with an agent. We recently had a situation where we finished a deal for an agent that is no longer with the brokerage. This was a good opportunity to explain how contracts with Realtors work...spoiler, you are signing a contract with the brokerage, so if the Realtor falls out, you are still under contract with the company they work(ed) for.Chad is extra spicy today and he has a lot to say about Realtors who don't want to learn and just want to check things off a list. This among other things kept him on a soapbox for quite awhile. So entertaining!This led us into a debate about whether buyers/sellers know that a Realtor's commission goes to the brokerage and not directly to the Realtor.
