||  A Multicultural Nest  ||

This week on Episode 121 of the #ReadswithRosaPodcast I sit down and talanoa with Christine Afoa, a Sāmoan writer who was born and raised in the Bankstown area of Western Sydney, Australia. She currently works as the project officer for UTS Pasifika programs and is the secretary of the Australian Pasifika Educators Network. She is passionate about storytelling and has written short stories and poetry for SBS, Cordite Review, Red Room Poetry and UTS Writers’ anthology. She is also part of the Sweatshop Literacy Movement, an organization that is devoted to empowering culturally and linguistically diverse communities through reading, writing and critical thinking. 

Every now and then I cross paths with guests who also grew up in #EFKS and it’s always special to know that I can give them their flowers and they can share their craft, stories and life experiences through this platform.
