We talked about how Isaac deceived Abimelech by saying Rebekah was his sister (she was actually his second cousin and his wife). We discussed how it appeared that Isaac said she was his sister as a sort of plan B. Even though God promised to be with Isaac, he felt he had to take other precautions to protect himself. We applied that to us, do we have a plan B just in case God does not come through? It was stressed that God wants to be our plan A, B, and C. We also talked about the struggles Isaac went thru trying to find a place in Canaan.
