Listen "Are Your Bucks Bedding In The Same Spot: MSU Deer Study "

Episode Synopsis

The last few days of the Iowa bow hunting season are upon us. With David being the only one tagged out, he gets to enjoy a little hiatus before late season kicks off. Easton takes back his role as "Mr. Deercember" gearing up to be trying some go big or go home strategies with in these final days! However, our boy Easton is not alone this year, as he is joined by Warren in this glorious Deercember week! On this episode of the Raised Hunting Podcast, we break down the season as a whole and some major strategies you can employ to help kill even your target buck during the later half of the season. From making some risky moves, to hunting the right food, to even being able to get your buck back on a pattern. We also take a deep dive into a study from the Mississippi State University Deer Ecology & Management Lab, on studies they have done about deer population density and buck activity during the rut. This study dives into a few theories we have discussed on the podcast, as well as ties in credible information to a lot of what we have witnessed in buck activity over the years!
