Today’s guest started in radio at a small station, KRXK in Rexburg, Idaho. His career carried him to TV where he was a correspondent to the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather. As a reporter, he traveled the world, covering many of the top news stories including the Oklahoma City bombing, 9-11, hurricanes, wars, and political unrest. Now, he is an anchor for ABC-13 in Houston, Texas. He and his wife, Patti, have seven children. He has won many prestigious awards in broadcast journalism including an Emmy Award. Somehow, he found time to write a fascinating book called “On Assignment: The Stories Behind the Stories.” Today, I talk with Art Rascon.
