The most misunderstood and generally least read/taught book of the Bible: Revelation. In this series we are going to open up the final book of the Bible to see what the completeness of God’s Word has to speak to us about what was, what is and what is to come. In this message we see Jesus addressing the fifth of seven churches identified in Revelation. The church at Sardis had grown comfortable with everyday life. Jesus warned them that comfort can be the killer of eternal security and that remembrance is the only thing that could lead them to repentance. Jesus reminds them and us that it is possible to have your name removed from the Book of Life… If it wasn’t possible why would Jesus encourage them by saying, “The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels”?
