But if we want to actually attract the holy name to reveal those supreme powers, to purify our heart and awaken our love, we must learn to be the servant of the servant of the servant, aspiring to be more humble than a blade of grass, more tolerant than a tree, eager to offer all respect to others and not to expect or demand such respect from others. If we just honestly, sincerely try to live by these principles with humility and courage, depending on the supreme grace of Sri Radha Govinda and Krishna gives us himself. That is the purpose and the spirit of initiation.
It's not something that we achieve. Initiation is not an achievement. It's like a foundation and we're meant to spend our whole life building upon. On behalf of Srila Prabhupada, I thank each and every one of you for so sincerely and in many cases patiently pursuing this highest goal of life. Srila Prabhupada and our acharyas, on behalf of Sri Nithyananda Prabhu, ‘parma karuna pahundiya jana nitai gaura chandra,’ that given us the most precious matchless gift, it is for us to decide how we will receive that gift, how we will reciprocate to that, compassion that is given to us and that is how we will grow.
