One of the important reasons for the Alaska summit, which may still be ongoing as you read this email, is not merely a cessation of hostilities between Ukraine and Russia. In fact, that may not even come about as a result of this first discussion between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump.

The Russians have repeatedly stressed that the most important aspect of this dialogue is that it is occurring at all. Consider how insane it is that the two leading nuclear superpowers, each with the capacity to destroy the world many times over, have not been able to communicate without the mainstream media and various intelligence operatives going into overdrive to sabotage such a dialogue.
