Every year we celebrate the First Christmas—the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem as the suffering Servant. But Scripture points us to an even greater day ahead: the Second Christmas, when Jesus returns as the conquering King to gather His Church and usher us into eternal glory. The Bible promises that the Lord will descend with a shout, the dead in Christ will rise, and those who remain will be caught up together with Him (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17). While we rightly celebrate Christ’s birth at Christmas—and honor Him every day—our hearts and eyes must remain fixed on His glorious return.
